Our company recommends to use My Data Manager . This app is free and it has ability to show you which program using how much data.
To use less data :
1. Turn traffic off and turn weather off and turn pricing of at the Gas Stations off when you do not need to use those options.

4. To learn exact number of megabytes used please open SmartRVRoute, then go to Menu, then Settings, then tap on Data Usage

7. Maps are stored on your phone as you travel. Maps are very compact.
Accurate GPS position requires that you turn on Standalone GPS Service on your phone. It is also strongly recommended to turn off wi-fi service as that may conflict with data service and degrade position accuracy. Finally, be sure to position your phone or tablet such that it is close to the windshield. Before creating a route, check to see if your position is accurate. For Tablets that use wifi to communicate to the hotstop we recommend to turn off mobile network location based on wifi and only use GPS Location Services for positioning.

Once you mark the position on the map and activate option Fake then any program that tries to read GPS position from the phone will read position emitted by the Fake GPS all. Remember to turn off the fake program when you are ready to navigate from your real position. FAKE GPS is free app and can be located on Google Play.
You may receive a data connection / internet error if during the time you attempt to create a route your data connection is momentarily lost. Normally we will attempt to contact the server at least twice before displaying this message.
Newer Android systems such as "Jelly Bean" which is OS 4.1 require all languages to be installed in order to obtain English. This is a known Android issue for that release and is unrelated to SmartRVRoute. We are confident that Google will update their system.
In addition to the standard Google voice Android based phones and tablets can use any other text to speech voices found through Google Play such as Ivona and SVOX. Your tablet needs to have GPS chipsets on its CPU board. You have to have fully functional GPS on your tablet to use hotspot generated on your phone. You can use GPSTEST app to verify if you have fully functional gps.
Most likely this will not happen since we use Google, which is the largest address search engine in the world. If you do not see the address, try to search by business name or the zip code. You might also try the built-in voice recognition, perhaps it will find a better match. If you still need help, call your destination and ask them for an intersection (in other words you need the closest cross street). To search for an intersection, start with Google maps, select the point you wish to become your destination, select SmartRVRoute as the navigation app choice.
The GPS will try to route you to the closest road even if it is an access road, therefore drive closer to the desired road to be used when exiting the parking area, then create the route.
Enter the length of your trailer. The mapping data is based on road signage.

SmartRVRoute relies on the phone (or tablet) to provide an accurate GPS location. It is very important that you sync time with local phone company. To improve and test accuracy, see the following suggestions:
1. Be sure the GPS location is turned on and time on your phone is setup for where you are correctly.Make sure time is setup by the cell provider automatically for the higher precision. Make sure your location services are set to be on.If it is On then turn in Off and then turn it On again. Go to Smartphone Settings. Select Location Services and make sure Stand Alone GPS service is turned On.
2. Within Android setting for faster fix select under Location and Mode method "High Accuracy"
3. Turn WIFI on. This option helps initial position to be obtained faster
4. If you are still not certain that it is your phone that does not provide accurate position we recommend that you download the following free app from Google Play: GPS Test This app will clearly allow you to verify the functionality of the GPS on your phone (or tablet).
5. Make sure icon of GPS on the top of your phone's home page bar is not blinking. Blinking indicates position is not precise enough to navigate.
6. Under settings location services activate all option to assist gps in finding location
7. Download utility Gps Status & Toolbox This utility will report to you precisely what satellites your phone can see. Please keep in mind that your phone needs to see at least 4 satellites to obtain position.
8. Position your phone close to the wind-shield of your vehicle for better reception. Please keep in mind that GPS devices operate in Line Of Sight and that means there should be no obstruction between the back of your phone and sky. With no obstructions you will see over 6 satellites, but buildings and bad weather might hinder GPS reception. GPS receptions depends on the settings of the GPS installed in your phone. Please check location settings on your phone. If you're struggling to get your position fixed in a built-up area, try to move your phone closer to the windshield.
9. We got reports that to improve quality of GPS on at least Samsung phone the back inside frame under the back panel has to have screws tighten up. We tested in the lab and verified that it is true.
10. We recommend, for better fix to keep your phone charging. GPS chipset takes power.
11. If number of satellites stays "0" in some cases we had reports that it helps to turn off GPS and then turn it on again.
Yes, tap and hold for a couple of seconds, an orange arrow and dot will appear at that point and a menu will appear at the bottom of your screen. Select "Route to this location".
Yes. As long as you operate hands free, navigating with smartphone is acceptable. Case of California v. Spriggs, Fresno appellate court per judge Kent Hamlin "The law also does not prohibit hands-free use. A law implemented in January allows hand-free navigating, voice calls and texting, though only if a driver uses voice-operated applications that allow them to navigate, dictate, send, and listen to the device in the car."
Send email to: android@smartrvroute.com
Actually the turn instructions are not extra. We insert these instructions only when there is a possibility that you will get off the route due to the fact that the exit is on an angle such that you might consider the portion as a part of a freeway continuation, or if there is a change in the name of the roadway.
That depends. We do allow "fuzzy" logic. Try for example to type in 171 TrAmont St, Boston, MA and you will see that we will find 171 Tremont St, Boston, MA. If you type tttrewmont st, Boston, MA most likely we will not find Tremont street. If you want to make sure you are using our "fuzzy" logic to the full extent, then try to say the name of the street by pushing microphone.
You can text to us by sending message to 724-901-1115
Press on the screen for 1 second and address of the location pressed will appear.
With GPS Quick Lock on, accuracy of your GPS at the start will be lower. The accuracy will be lower most likely for the initial 5 to 10 min till GPS will get full lock position with 4 GPS satellites.
Create a route, then long tap the map screen at the location where you want the route to pass through or avoid. Select avoid or/ via point on the menu. Up to 10 via or avoid points can be present on any created route. To remove via or avoid point tap on a point and select remove or use small icon on the right side of the screen to do the same.
Please visit our facebook
Within SmartRVRoute go to Menu then click on Program Settings then License and Disclaimers then click on Terms and Services and check out Opt out of 3rd party in-apps ads.
